how good was your CNY 2006?

it's a lazy week for me in conjunction of CNY 2006. No where to go, no where to visit. Still at home wondering what to do for the rest of the week.

Yea~ it's time to rejuvanate and pump up some fat...hahaha....yea man~ fat!

but i had my share of CNY 2006 fun last nite at Soul'ed Out...took a pic with choy san who's happily going around giving out 'kam' and 'ang pow' to the patrons.

it was funny the see the reactions of the mat sallehs' to see some black janggut man going around giving oranges to strangers. they didn't know how to react to him. hahaha~

anyway, for you guys back at your respective hometowns, hope everything is dazzling fun with lotsa of red packets hanging out of your pockets. yea~ take advantage of your aunts, uncles and cousins~ win more $$$ and challange us here back in tsm.

oppsss...looks like i've received 2 sms this morning. an invitation for 'pai nin'! yoohoo!

puppy love in the 20's

does puppy love exist when you're in the 20's? will there be puppy love when you're in the 20's? reminising back in the days when we love to surprise our dear ones with hand-made cards, lil teddies from mcd's, scented love letters, love tokens that we pick from the roadside... will we actually take the effort to do all that again?

being in the 2000s, everything is convenient. you can buy stuff and instantly present them to our love ones. fancy dinners, fast cars, huge bouquet of flowers, great vacations...

BUT what about the lil things that matters the most besides presenting gifts? what about simple compliments or greetings in the morning? during working hours? when you get home from a hard day of work? even before you sleep?

in our younger years, we just love to take notice of lil changes and compliment on everything. eventually, those compliments makes us blush and love tends to grow fonder.
will we ever have the time and the initiative to take a second look at our love ones and do the same?

think about it....share your opinions...

PERSONAL PERCEPTION

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be anotherman's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home,aboy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey?"Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is thehead of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is onfoot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride onthe donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman."The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then,they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up theweight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husbandand wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkeywas frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into theriver. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..

BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of hishome to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son washappily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran tohis son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finallyhad to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke upfrom the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, " Daddy,I'msorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going togrow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wishto take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone ulove. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't.Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions wetake while in a rage will haunt us forever.

Kok Leong, i really appreciate "Blog - The Middle Man Speaks". Personally, cw and i have been waiting anxiously to find out how you will be able to help show the big picture on the issue. And i'd say you definitely have strong points on most of your comment.

Just need to elaborate further on the situation from our point of view.

1. We are aware of the hardwork put in for the original template. Chris, don't worry, everyone is aware of your hardwork and contributions.

2. We did not conveniently choose a template to replace chris' template. We were experimenting on the features. We WERE using the "Preview" button. In the midst of the excitement of seeing things change in the preview and learning so much stuff in such a short span of time, I guess the biggest mistake was us clicking "Save HTML Template" because we wanted to continue working on the template.

IMPORTANT: Lil' did we know that this template will be saved for ALL users. Meaning even if Seymour or chris logs in, the saved template will be used if you choose to modify anything else. We had two choices, (1) Leave it and let the next person modifying the template take the blame, or (2) try to save as much as we could. We CHOSE the latter.
And it seems like almost everyone missed the words i typed informing chris about the lost pics and asking for them so we can put them back on.

3. I agree what's in cyberspace should stay just there. But i really can't help but to realize there are more to the issue than just the template here. For one, chris' question on whether Mike, Hahns and you are out of the gang just because there are no duplicate pictures of you guys???? That question was highly uncalled for and i still can't see where she got that idea. Cw went thru hell just to find everyone's pictures and put it back in. We were fired at as if we were trying to launch a reform!!

I also don't see how "Blog - Changes Anyone??" can find space to fit in remarks like better left dead than changed & WEAREONE, not WEARENEW. I mean, if it's bad, call it bad! I welcome constructive feedbacks.


With all the above said, just want to apologize for the unnecessary ripples i caused in the blog. And for mistakenly wiping out chris' template.

Hey everybody, i juz woke up from my holidaying n relaxing.Didn't have time to post anything but i had the time to view this blog everyday at least a quick glance at wats goin on!!!!! MAN!!!
There's a lot of changes going on here,huh!!! I would suggest we appreciate the changes and if it turned out UGLY it's okie!! Come on guys at least give those who tried to bring changes an applause at least!!! I GOT TOTALLY CONFUSED AS WELL MAN!!!!!

Anyways, my trip to PD with hong kwan was fabulous!!!!!!! Guys i apologize for the last minute thing we tried to arrange tat nite which didn't work out but maybe next time.We were in genting on the weekends n then to PD on mon till wednesday!!! I tell u guys ,Avillion is 1 hella of a place man!!!! SMASHING!!!!!!!!! Ur treated like king's n queen's!!!!!!!WOOOOO OHHHHHHHHH!!
